The dignitaries visited the computer labs and witnessed the students using the brand-new machines. Col. Pankaj Srivastava, Director of Purchase at MUJ, gave an overview of the university's efforts in creating the labs in these four villages in his opening speech.

Jaipur, 15 May : Advanced computer laboratories are created and made available to the schoolchildren in four villages within the district of Jaipur. The Mahatma Gandhi Govt. Senior Secondary School, Dehmi Kalan; Mahatma Gandhi Govt. Senior Secondary School, Begas; Mahatma Gandhi Govt. Senior Secondary School, Thekariya; and Govt. Senior Secondary School, Sanjharia have all these labs. The Manipal Foundation and Manipal University Jaipur have adopted this effort as part of Corporate Social Responsibility to strengthen the computer capabilities of the village kids and to deliver high-quality education.
 
Two distinct events were planned for two different schools. The labs in Begus and Dehmi Kalan were officially inaugurated by Dr. G K Prabhu, President of Manipal University Jaipur, and Mr. Harinarayan Sharma, CEO of the Manipal Foundation. Present at the event were Pro-President of MUJ, Dr. Jawahar Mal Jangir, Dr. Nitu Bhatnagar, Registrar, MUJ, Mr. Sridhar M S, Head HR, Dr. A D Vyas, Director, Student Welfare. In Begas the local Sarpanch Mr. Dev Narayan Verma and BEO Mr. Govardhan Singh Devat also joined the event. At Mahatma Gandhi Govt. Sr. Secondary School, Dehmi Kalan, the occasion was also graced by the local Sarpanch, CBEO Rajendra Bansal, and District Education Officer Mr. Devi Shankar.

In his inaugural speech, President, Dr. G. K. Prabhu, stated that the university has been making every effort to promote the surrounding villages. He also reaffirmed that the Manipal Education and Medical Group (MEMG) was founded and led by Dr. T.M.A. Pai, who directed his efforts on the provision of healthcare and education, two essential areas of human growth that empower people and enhance their quality of life. This philosophy of empowering individuals has been embraced by both Manipal University Jaipur and the Manipal Foundation. The Manipal Foundation has been in operation since 2002 and has spent the last 12 years engaging in a lot of CSR activities. Through his unique way of storytelling, Dr. Prabhu also encouraged the students to imbibe the quality of helping others.
 
With his extensive background in CSR initiatives, Pro-President Cmde. Dr. Jawahar Mal Jangir stated that MUJ has also considered the comfort of the instructors and students in these newly designed labs. He disclosed that the laboratories located in the corresponding school building have undergone renovations that include the installation of air conditioners, tile flooring, electrical and wiring, and civil works. Every school lab is equipped with a printer, an overhead projector, chairs and computer tables for teachers and pupils, and computers based on capacity. The schools in Begus and Dehmi Kalan have two labs put into service. The two other labs are being created in the village schools in Sanjharia and Thekariya, and they will be operational following the summer break. Mr. Devi Shankar, DEO, Jaipur and Mr. Rajendra Bansal, CBEO expressed their gratitude and appreciated the contribution of Manipal University Jaipur for the educational development in the local schools.
 
During their respective school events, Ms. Poonam Yadav, Principal of Mahatma Gandhi Sr. Secondary School, Begas, and Ms. Barkha Saini, Principal of Mahatma Gandhi Sr. Secondary School, Dahmi Kalan, presented votes of gratitude. Both the school administrations have presented mementos to the university authorities as a token of appreciation. The celebration was attended by many Manipal University Jaipur faculty members, school students, and villagers.
