Jaipur : Renowned chef from Jaipur, Tejasvi Chandela was honoured with the prestigious 'Gran Gala De La Pastisseria Catalana Award 2024' at EPGB (Escuela de Pastelería del Gremio de Barcelona) in Barcelona, Spain. In a grand ceremony, in the presence of more than 400 hoteliers, patisserie and cafe owners and guests, Chef Tejasvi was honoured with a medal and certificate. It is to be noted that Tejasvi has a Master’s degree in Chocolates & Patisserie from EPGB in Barcelona. Currently, she teaches at EPGB as a visiting professor. Tejasvi also teaches the making of Indian sweets 'mithai', which are highly appreciated in Spain.
On this occasion, Tejasvi said, “I am elated and proud to receive this honour in the presence of my family. I am always eager to excel in my pastry-making art and bring Indian sweets forward through my fusion of Indian and modern pastries.”
Chef Tejasvi has won many prestigious awards. In September 2023, she was honoured in Paris by La Liste as Pastry Talent of the Year and in October 2023, she was awarded by Conde’Nast at Mumbai. Renowned for her exceptional mastery in the dynamic intersection of Indian and modern pastry, Chef Tejasvi has ingeniously carved a niche for herself within the world of pastry.
Her journey commenced with a strong educational foundation at the illustrious Le Cordon Bleu in Paris post where she established ‘Dzurt Patisserie & Cafe’, a groundbreaking venture that marked her entrepreneurial debut at a mere 22 years of age. Situated in the city of Jaipur, Dzurt Patisserie & Cafe achieved distinction as the city's first standalone French patisserie.
